Jayme Closs, the 13-year-old Wisconsin girl who went missing in October after her parents were found dead in their home, was found alive Thursday, Jan. 10. The Barron County Sheriff's Department held a news conference to discuss the case.

Minnesota candidates for the state's 8th Congressional District are debating in a Minnesota Public Radio studio show. Today's debate between Republican Pete Stauber, a retired police officer and a St. Louis County commissioner, and DFL candidate Joe Radinovich, who served in the state Legislature and worked for Minneapolis Mayor Jacob Frey, can be watched right here. Incumbent Democrat Rep. Rick Nolan announced earlier this year he would not run for re-election, creating an open seat.

The North Dakota Department of Transportation and Highway Patrol have opened I-29 from Fargo to the Canadian Border. Motorists should be aware that conditions such as high winds, reduced visibility and blowing snow may cause hazardous travel. The no travel advisory has also been lifted.

The National Weather Service has issued a red flag warning for most of North Dakota and a portion of northwest Minnesota. The warning was issued overnight and is currently set to begin at 1 p.m. today and end at 7 p.m. tonight, Wednesday, Oct. 18. Strong, sustained west-to-northwesterly winds between 25 to 35 mph with gusts up to 50 mph will coincide with low humidities and temperatures in the mid 60s will create critical fire weather conditions. Any fires that develop may spread quickly.
