The Minnesota Department of Transportation will resurface and make repairs to the Interstate 94 bridge in southwest St. Cloud in Stearns County. Drivers will encounter reduced speeds and one-lane traffic, in each direction. The work begins Wednesday, Aug. 31, and is expected to be completed in mid-October.
Motorists can expect short-term delays and lane closures as construction workers apply a seal coat to Highways 71 and 2 and Washington Avenue South beginning Aug. 27.
A pedestrian and bike demonstration project will be installed on Gould Avenue NE and First Street E on Aug. 31, with the goal of making it safer to cross the streets.
