SUMMER FUN

With its number of residents and name’s meaning in American English slang, a town like Nimrod — population 69 — is bound to get noticed by anyone who sees a sign for the town on a northwestern Minnesota highway. And while the curiously named rural Wadena County town tends to keep on the quieter side, its streets will teem with people this Labor Day weekend during its annual “Jubilee Days” celebration.
The fair unveiled its new foods Tuesday, the annual preview of the dizzying array of new eating and drinking options at the 12-day gathering and eat-a-thon that starts Aug. 25.
The armbands will be used for pretty much all services offered on site, from admission to the campgrounds and concert bowl to food, beverage and souvenir purchases. Other improvements to this year's "WE Fest experience" have been made to the main stage, VIP hospitality and seating areas.
