Former Bemidji State women’s hockey defenseman Ivana Bilic has signed a contract to join MODO Hockey in Sweden and will join the club after the holiday break.
Bilic played for the Beavers from 2012-16 and was selected as the 2015-16 WCHA Defensive Player of the Year, compiling 61 career points to sit fourth on BSU’s all-time career points list as a defenseman.
Bilic also joins former BSU forward Kaitlyn Tougas, who is already a member of the team and has recorded six goals and 12 assists in 22 games to rank 23rd in scoring in the Swedish Women’s Hockey League.
