VOLLEYBALL: Lumberjacks win five-setter at TRF


THIEF RIVER FALLS -- The Bemidji High School volleyball team showed its grit Thursday night in a five-set road victory over Thief River Falls.

The sets went back and forth the whole way (25-18, 22-25, 25-13, 25-27, 17-15), with only one being separated by more than seven points.

Taylor Wade led the Jacks offense with 20 kills, followed by Emma Muller and Emily Wade with 11 apiece.

As a team, Bemidji racked up 13 aces, four knocked down by Muller and three by Rumer Flatness.

Emily Wade led the setters with 27 assists, with Mikerra Mathews following closely with 24.

Jenna Anderson scooped up 15 digs to lead the defense.

Bemidji is back at it Tuesday, Sept. 11, for a 7:30 for a game against Dilworth-Glyndon-Felton at BHS.
