ALEXANDRIA - Bemidji beat Moorhead in five sets in last season’s Section 8-3A championship game, upsetting the Spuds and making its third Class AAA state tournament appearance in four years.
This season, the Spuds got one back on their rival Lumberjacks.
Moorhead beat Bemidji in four sets (25-23, 17-25, 25-14, 25-14) on Saturday night in Alexandria to win the second title and deny BHS its second-straight state tournament appearance.
