BRAINERD -- Despite claiming victory in the first set, the Bemidji High School volleyball team dropped its final three sets Tuesday night against Brainerd to fall, 3-1. The Lumberjacks took the first set, 25-15, before the Warriors won three straight (25-20, 26-24, 27-25) to clinch the match.

The loss drops the Jacks to 2-3.

Taylor Wade led Bemidji with 12 kills, and was followed by Ashley Hofstad and Emma Muller with six apiece. Emily Wade posted a team-high 10 assists, while Mikerra Mathews notched nine.

Defensively, Jenna Anderson made 19 digs to pace the Lumberjacks with Muller recording 15. Kenzie Christianson and Rumer Flatness each came up with two blocks.

Bemidji will travel to Thief River Falls for its next match at 7:15 p.m. Thursday, Sept. 6.
