VOLLEYBALL: Clearbrook-Gonvick edges Blackduck

CLEARBROOK - The Clearbrook-Gonvick volleyball team got the season started right Thursday when an exciting five-set win against Blackduck.
The Drakes (0-1) took the first set 27-25 with before the Bears (1-0) evened the match with a 25-19 win.
Blackduck regained the lead with a 25-19 win of its own before Clearbrook-Gonvick evened the score again with a 25-22 win.
The match came down to the final set where the home team prevailed with a 15-13 victory to claim the match win.
The Drakes will look to even its record at 7:30 p.m. Tuesday when they play their home opener against Bigfork.
The Bears on the other hand will hit the road for the first time at 7:30 p.m. Tuesday at Win-E-Mac as they look to maintain their early season success.
