BEMIDJI -- The Bemidji State volleyball team fell to Sioux Falls in four sets (25-16, 25-16, 24-26, 25-17) Friday night in a Northern Sun Intercollegiate Conference match.
The Beavers (5-11, 2-6 NSIC) were led by sophomore Becka Cronin, who tallied a season-best 11 kills, while Greta Paszek and Anna Averkamp each totaled 10.
BSU committed 26 attack errors during the match and hit at just a .102 efficiency while the Cougars totaled 53 team kills with just 15 errors for a .292 team hitting percentage.
Cronin led the Beavers by hitting at a .219 clip while Averkamp followed at .130. Freshman Mary Campbell coordinated the Beavers’ attack and earned 30 assists in the match while junior Emma Hallmann led the Beavers’ backcourt with 15 digs.
BSU recorded just four team blocks in the match with Julie Touchett, Maddie Filipiak and Cronin all tied for the team lead with two apiece.

The Beavers meet another NSIC foe today when they host No. 12 Southwest Minnesota State at 1 p.m. inside the BSU Gymnasium.
