BRAINERD -- The Bemidji High School boys and girls track and field teams held their own in a three-team meet Tuesday in Brainerd against the host Warriors and Fergus Falls.
The Lumberjack boys and girls earned 96.5 and 65 points in the meet to take second and third, respectively. Brainerd won both meets with 117.5 points for the boys, and 126.5 points for the girls.
For the boys, Ryan Bieberdorf captured first place in the 100-meter dash with a time of 11.53, as well as in the triple jump with a winning mark of 43 feet, 9 inches. BHS athletes Will Falldorf (24.22), Eli Mans (24.44) and Nick Snell (24.59) claimed all three spots on the podium in the 200m dash.
Gage Mostad blazed a time of 2:05.05 to win the 800m, more than three seconds ahead of the next finisher. Bryce Kondos took first in the 3,200m in a time of 11:11.78.
The Lumberjacks also nabbed wins in three of the four relays: 4x100m (44.85), 4x200m (1:40.51) and 4x800m (8:22.85).

For the BHS girls, Jordan Mann eked out a win in the 100m dash by .03 seconds with her time of 12.84. She went on to claim first place in the 200m dash by half a second in a time of 26.9.
Kinley Prestegard posted the top time (1:05.43) in the 400m dash. Bemidji also took first in the 4x200m relay in a time of 1:56.4.
Madysen Schmidt and Lauren Berg each came within seconds of first place in the 100m hurdles and 300m hurdles, taking second place with times of 16.09 and 48.65, respectively. Gwen Youso also took second in the 1,600m in 5:40.34.
Next up for the Lumberjacks is the Hamline Elite Meet in St. Paul on Friday, April 26, at 4 p.m.
