GRAND RAPIDS -- The Bemidji High School boys track and field team took first place at the Grand Rapids Invitational on Tuesday. The Lumberjacks earned 302 points to top the field of 11 schools.
Posting event wins for Bemidji were Ryan Bieberdorf in the 200-meter dash (23.29), Cameron Carleton in pole vault (10 feet, 6 inches) and Jacob Kelly in the 100m hurdles (16.10), as well as the 4x200m relay team (1:36.45) of Eli Mans, Nick Snell, Will Falldorf and Bieberdorf.
Finishing runner-up for the Jacks were Riley Berg in the 800m (2:03.96) and 1,600m (4:50.70), Gage Mostad in the 3,200m (10:07.55), Alan Wuori in pole vault (10 feet) and Justin Nelson in shot put (40 feet, 10 inches), as well as the 4x100m relay team (46.58).
Results for the girls meet were not available at press time.
The Lumberjacks are next scheduled to compete Tuesday, May 7, at the Section True Team Meet in Brainerd.
