BSU tennis picked sixth in NSIC

BURNSVILLE -- The Bemidji State women’s tennis team was voted to finish sixth in the 2018 Northern Sun Intercollegiate Conference Preseason Coaches’ Poll, which was released Thursday.

The Beavers earned 73 points in the poll, while Augustana was picked to finish first with 121 points.

The Beavers finished 12-6 last season and set a school record for wins in a season, surpassing its 11-win season in 2016. BSU was 6-5 in NSIC play to tie for sixth place in the league standings and earned the No. 6 seed in the NSIC Tournament.

BSU opens its season at noon on Sunday, Feb. 4, against Minnesota Crookston at the Gillett Wellness Center.
