BEMIDJI -- Bemidji State head softball coach Rick Supinski has been put on paid administrative leave as of Feb. 3, according to university spokesman Scott Faust. Faust, BSU’s director of communications and marketing, said Supinski’s leave was due to a “personnel matter” but couldn’t comment further on the specific reason. He also said he wasn’t sure when Supinski would return.
“The program is continuing and moving forward without him for now,” Faust said. Graduate assistant coach D.J. Guinn is coaching the team in the interim. The Beavers are off to a 4-2 start after playing some games indoors in St. Paul on Tuesday and Wednesday. Supinski has been head coach since 2012 and would have been entering his third season at the helm of the Beaver squad.BEMIDJI -- Bemidji State head softball coach Rick Supinski has been put on paid administrative leave as of Feb. 3, according to university spokesman Scott Faust.Faust, BSU’s director of communications and marketing, said Supinski’s leave was due to a “personnel matter” but couldn’t comment further on the specific reason.
