BEMIDJI -- The Bemidji State women’s soccer team remains ranked among the best in NCAA Division II ahead of a marquee weekend.

The Beavers held onto their No. 18 spot in the United Soccer Coaches top 25 poll following last Thursday’s season-opening 2-1 win over Winona State. This week’s poll was the second of the season after the preseason poll, where BSU also came in at No. 18.

Bemidji State has appeared in the poll for 11 consecutive weeks, dating back to Sept. 4, 2018. BSU has been ranked in the top 25 on 16 occasions throughout the program’s history.

The only other Northern Sun Intercollegiate Conference team in this week’s poll was Minnesota State Mankato at No. 25.

The Beavers will square off with a pair of top-25 teams this weekend in Mankato. They’ll face top-ranked Grand Valley State on Friday, Sept. 13, and No. 4 Central Missouri on Sunday, Sept. 15.
