BRAINERD -- The TrekNorth High School soccer team won its first game of the season last weekend, beating St. Francis Christian by a score of 4-0 at the Paul Bunyan Tournament in Brainerd.
Briar Castonguay scored two goals with Louis Morrissey and David Carlson each putting one in the net. Goalkeepers Linus Schicke and Louis Morrissey helped the Sundogs hold an opponent scoreless for the first time this year.
TrekNorth also tied its first game of the tournament with host Lake Region Academy, 2-2.
Zane Esparza tallied both goals for the Sundogs, the second coming with 20 seconds left in the game.
TrekNorth will return to the field today for a match at Detroit Lakes.
