BEMIDJI -- Rachael Norton earned Northern Sun Intercollegiate Conference Offensive Player of the Week honors after scoring three goals on a two-win weekend for the Bemidji State soccer team. The senior forward tallied a pair of goals Friday in a 3-2 win over St. Cloud State, and followed it up by scoring another goal in Sunday’s 2-1 victory against Minnesota Duluth.

This marks the second weekly individual award in Norton’s career, and the second consecutive week the Beavers have had an individual recognized by the league.
Norton, a Mounds View native, netted three of BSU’s five weekend goals. The two she scored Friday clinched her eighth multi-goal performance of her career. In all she totaled seven shots (.429), with five on goal (.714), and played 110 of the 180 minutes on the weekend.
