BEMIDJI-Bemidji State senior Miranda Famestad was recently named a member of the 2017 Division II Conference Commissioners Association Women's Soccer All-American First Team for her contribution to the Beavers' back line this fall.
Famestad was also a First-Team All-Northern Sun Intercollegiate Conference selection and received the NSIC Defensive Player of the Year award.
The Beavers shut out opponents in 12 of their 20 matches this season, helping the team to an unbeaten regular season record (14-0-3) before going on to lose to Augustana in penalty kicks in the NCAA Tournament.
