The public will have its first opportunity to explore the Bemidji Regional Event Center Tuesday night.
The Bemidji State Athletic Department and Beaver Pride will host Select-A-Seat Night from 5-7 p.m. in the BREC arena. BSU staff will be on hand to answer questions about hockey season ticket packages.
Beaver Pride Coordinator Jake Bluhm said the Select-A-Seat Night is important to individuals wanting to attend the season-opening hockey series Oct. 15-16 between Bemidji State and North Dakota.
"This event allows the public to get their first real look at the new facility, the new home of Beaver hockey and great seats are still available," Bluhm said. "The main thing we want people to understand is that the only way to get into the series against North Dakota is with a season ticket."
Single-game tickets will not be available for the BSU-North Dakota series due to BSU alumni participation. The only way to guarantee a seat at the two games will be through a season ticket package, which provides admittance to all 16 regular-season home games.

Current unsold season ticket seats will be visibly marked and will be available for immediate purchase. Those who purchase a season ticket at Select-A-Seat Night will walk out of the BREC with tickets in hand - including the season-opening series against North Dakota.
Bluhm said approximately 950 seats will be available for season ticket purchase at Select-A-Seat Night.
season ticket package prices range from $275 (two-ticket minimum purchase) in the non-alcohol family section to $825 in the Beaver Pride Club Level.
BSU has made a push to sell season tickets in northern Minnesota over the summer, with BSU personnel in caravan stops in towns across the region.
Bluhm said there are season ticket holders this season from Roseau, Warroad, International Falls, Blackduck, Nevis, Fort Frances and even Wisconsin.
Student season ticket packages are sold out: the 477 season tickets were sold within hours of going on sale last month.
The arena capacity for hockey games is 4,700.
"Things have been great with ticket sales and it's been great to see all the support from Bemidji and the surrounding community," Bluhm said.
