Sauer's 68 earns two-shot lead in Vandersluis

Jon Sauer of St. Cloud fired a 4-under-par 68 Sunday to take a two-stroke lead after two rounds of the Vandersluis Memorial amateur golf tournament at Bemidji Town & Country Club.

The tournament ends with a final 18-hole round Monday.

Defending Vandersluis and reigning Birchmont champion Tom Jenkins of Maple Grove also shot a 68 on Sunday to move into second place. First-round leader Chris Curb of Bemidji had a 73 and is four strokes off the lead.

In the Senior division, Brent Armstrong of Winnipeg, Ray Sauer of St. Cloud and Jeff Wiltse of Bemidji share the lead at 4-over 148.
