The Minnesota Vikings have waived wide receiver Randy Moss, according to a report from Michael Lombardi of the NFL Network.
The report posted this afternoon on NFL.com did not cite any more specifics.
Lombardi posted on Twitter that Vikings coach Brad Childress told players in a team meeting that Moss had been waived after Moss did not accompany the team back to Minnesota after Sunday's loss at New England.
Moss, who the Vikings obtained from the Patriots in early October for a third-round pick in 2011, had only one catch for 8 yards on Sunday. Moss had 13 catches for 174 yards and three touchdowns since joining the Vikings.
