WRESTLING: Bemidji girls take 2nd of 30 teams at all-female meet

PINE ISLAND -- The Bemidji High School girls wrestling team placed second out of 30 teams at an all-girls tournament in Pine Island on Saturday.

The Lumberjacks racked up 92.5 team points, behind only Decorah (Iowa). BHS edged Apple Valley’s 91 to take the silver.

Kylie Donat was the individual champion at 132 pounds, going 3-0 for Bemidji on the day. Tori Bahr (120 pounds) and Elizabeth Oster (145) also went 3-1 to place third in their respective weight classes.

Elsewhere for Bemidji, Allie Lillquist placed fourth, Macie Webb fifth and Amber Kremper sixth on the podium.

Senior guard Ethan Biehn made four 3-pointers and scored 18 points before halftime, leading the Lumberjacks to an 18-point intermission advantage.
