BEMIDJI -- Just in the nick of time, Elle Bush mapped out her college plans to St. Paul.

Bush, a 2022 graduate of Bemidji High School and a two-year varsity starter on the BHS girls soccer team, committed to the Northwestern women’s soccer program on Tuesday during a signing ceremony at the high school.

“I chose UNW because of the opportunity to grow in my faith in a Christ-centered community while playing soccer,” Bush said in an email. “I’m excited to play for a great team and coaching staff that will help me grow as an individual and as a soccer player.”

While with the Lumberjacks, Bush was selected to the all-conference first team as a senior. Meanwhile, the Eagles finished their season 12-7-2. They placed second in the Upper Midwest Athletic Conference standings and reached the UMAC Tournament championship game in 2021.
