SOCCER: Bemidji 19U boys bring home Grand Forks championship

Bemidji Youth Soccer traveled across the Red River over the weekend as 14 teams converged on Grand Forks, N.D., for a tournament.

GRAND FORKS, N.D. -- Bemidji Youth Soccer traveled across the Red River over the weekend as 14 teams converged on Grand Forks, N.D., for a tournament.

Five Bemidji teams made the championship match in their respective age brackets, with the 19U boys winning the title by defeating host Grand Forks 1-0 in the final.

Bemidji’s 16U boys and 16U girls also made the final but lost in a shootout, while the 12U girls and 19U girls lost in the championship.
