MOORHEAD – The Bemidji High School gymnastics team set a new record on Saturday in Moorhead, tallying a combined score of 36.35 on uneven bars.
Tatum Offerdahl (9.4, second place), Aubrey DeWitt (9.2, fourth), Lauren Berg (8.9, fifth) and Samara Osborn (8.85, sixth) helped the Lumberjacks establish the new bar, which broke the previous record of 35.8 set on Jan. 11, 2020.
Offerdahl, Berg and DeWitt also contributed to the 2020 record.
Team-wide, the Jacks finished second of three teams in the highest division, trailing Sartell-St. Stephen but beating Rogers. The Sabres earned 145.1 points, with Bemidji at 142.6 and Rogers at 137.85.
Elsewhere, Berg finished first in vault (9.4) and floor (9.6), while Mady Schmidt placed third in floor (9.4) and fourth in vault (9.15). Osborn added a third-place finish in beam (9.3).

Berg (35.95) and Schmidt (35.75) finished third and fourth in the all-around, respectively. Osborn (26.7, sixth) and Addison Hill (25.45, 10th) joined them in the top 10.
Bemidji returns to competition at 6 p.m. on Friday, Jan. 21, against Long Prairie-Grey Eagle at the Gym Bin.
