CLOQUET -- The Bemidji High School girls hockey team got shut out on Saturday, falling 3-0 against Cloquet-Esko-Carlton in Cloquet.
C-E-C (18-6-1) scored seven minutes into the contest on a strike from Dana Jones for a 1-0 lead by the first intermission.
In the second period, Reese Kuklinski and Brynn Martin scored 24 seconds apart to triple the difference in a heartbeat. Although BHS (4-18-2) didn’t allow anything else from then on out, Bemidji still got stuck with the 3-0 loss.
Ava Myhre started in net for BHS and made 27 saves on 30 shots. Araya Kiminski was a perfect 14-for-14 for C-E-C.
Bemidji is back in action at 5:15 p.m. Tuesday, Feb. 8, in Alexandria.
