GIRLS GOLF: Tatum Offerdahl takes 4th, Bemidji 6th at The Classic Invitational

The Bemidji High School girls golf team finished sixth among 11 teams at The Classic Invitational held at Madden’s on Gull Lake in Brainerd, posting a combined score of 396 strokes.

BRAINERD – The Bemidji High School girls golf team finished sixth among 11 teams at The Classic Invitational held at Madden’s on Gull Lake in Brainerd, posting a combined score of 396 strokes.

Brainerd A (333), Detroit Lakes (336) and Pequot Lakes (361) rounded out the top three in the team competition.

Tatum Offerdahl led the way for the Lumberjacks with a score of 82, finishing in a tie for fourth place at 10 strokes over par. Other scorers for BHS included Margie Anderson (tie for 34th, 103); Mya Huseby (tie for 39th, 105) and Brynn Meyer (tie for 42nd, 106).

Kate Hildenbrand (48th, 111) and Madeline Larson (tie for 50th, 113) also competed for the Jacks.

Detroit Lakes’ McKenna Mallow and Brainerd’s Izzy Olson each carded an 80 to share medalist honors.

Bemidji returns to the tees for the Grand Rapids invite at 9 a.m. on Thursday, May 19, in Grand Rapids.
