GIRLS GOLF: Lumberjacks place 4th in Detroit Lakes ahead of home dual

DETROIT LAKES -- The Bemidji High School girls golf team took fourth place out of five schools at the Laker Invite on Tuesday in Detroit Lakes.

The Lumberjacks finished with a team score of 366, which was spearheaded by Tatum Offerdahl’s team-best score of 85. Offerdahl’s 14-over-par finish placed her ninth out of 35 golfers.

Next in line for Bemidji, Margie Anderson and Mya Huseby both carded 93s to tie for 18th, while Brynn Meyer tallied 95 strokes to tie for 23rd.

Kate Hildenbrand (tie for 31st, 106) and Gwen Galloway (33rd, 107) closed out the Lumberjacks’ performances.

McKenna Mallow of Detroit Lakes posted four birdies and carded an even-par 71 to earn medalist honors. The Lakers had three of the top four finishers and won the event with a score of 314.
