COLD SPRING -- The Bemidji High School girls golf team teed off for the final time on Wednesday.

BHS wrapped up its season at the Section 8-3A Tournament finals at Rich Spring Golf Club in Cold Spring, where a trio of Lumberjacks competed individually. State berths eluded them all, however, as all three met the conclusion of their spring when their round ended.

Tatum Offerdahl was Bemidji’s closest competitor to reaching state. She shot a 16-over-par 88 on Wednesday, good for a two-day total of 176 when paired with Tuesday’s opening round. Offerdahl placed 16th individually, missing a state bid by 11 strokes.

Brynn Meyer followed for BHS with a 103 on Wednesday, and her two-round total of 201 put her in a tie for 40th. Margie Anderson finished 44th by firing a 102 on Wednesday and carding a total score of 205.

Alexandria won the section title as a team with a score of 649. They topped Brainerd by 14 strokes thanks to a 21-stroke comeback on day two. Alexandria’s Hannah Boraas earned medalist honors by carding a 156 overall, beating out Brainerd’s Katie Foley by two strokes.
