LAPORTE -- Through snow showers, the Garfield Lake Ice Races went off without a hitch on Sunday, Feb. 10, at Garfield Lake in Laporte.

A total of 27 cars were on hand, and Nate Zanter was the big winner in the B class by winning both features and a heat win. Other heat winners in the B class were Nathan Doughty, Brandon Bahr and Sam Delaney.

Ryan Julin took the checkered flag three times in the A class, winning two heat races and the second set feature. Kalin Honer won the first set feature and also picked up a heat win in the A class, while John Farrington was the other heat winner in the A class.

Races will resume on Sunday, Feb. 17, at noon.
