MEN'S HOCKEY: Struthers signs with Greenville Swamp Rabbits

GREENVILLE, S.C. -- Bemidji State senior and former Beaver men’s hockey defenseman Carter Struthers made his professional hockey debut Saturday, March 10, with the Greenville Swamp Rabbits.

Struthers will play the rest of this season with Greenville, which is the ECHL affiliate of the New York Rangers of the NHL.

Fellow former Beaver Matt Prapavessis also plays defense for the Swamp Rabbits, who are 21-3-6-1 with 12 games left in the season.

Struthers posted a goal and two assists for the Beavers this season, finishing his 49-game career with one goal and three assists. He missed the entire 2014-15 season due to injury.
