BEMIDJI -- Bemidji’s Chloe Kirkpatrick was one of 18 players selected to the 2019-20 U.S. Women’s Development Sled Hockey Team, USA Hockey announced Friday, July 26.

Kirkpatrick, a defenseman, was one of three newcomers added to the U.S. women’s team, which is in its second season under full governance of USA Hockey.

As one of two 14-year-olds on the roster, Kirkpatrick is one of the youngest members of a team whose players range in age from 14 to 45.

Kirkpatrick most recently played for the HOPE Inc. Hurricanes, a team based out of the Fargo-Moorhead area.

The U.S. team’s roster was determined after tryouts earlier this month.

The 2019-20 schedules for the women’s and men’s development teams will be announced in the coming weeks.
