GYMNASTICS: Aerials compete at Legacy Luau Invitational

ST. PAUL -- The Bemidji Aerials Xcel and optional gymnastics teams competed at the Legacy Luau Invitations this past weekend at the Minnesota State Fairgrounds in St. Paul.

Ridley Karger led the Silver Xcel gymnasts with a 34.55 all-around score, which qualified her for the state meet in March.

Following Karger were Patti Peterson followed with a 33.9, Lola Wesley with a 33.85, Amelia Benso with a 32.5, Eliana Frank with a 31.8 and Kyla Frank with a 31.45.

In the Gold division, Adair Wizner and Sadie Sperle posted scores of 32.1 and 31.1, respectively.

Leading the Level 6 optional gymnasts was Aubrey Dewitt, who just missed the state qualifying score with a 33.975 in the all-around. Kali Allen finished with a 33.8, while Chloe Workman earned a 32.225.

In Level 7, Josie Beltz had a 34.95, surpassing the mark to qualify for state in March.

The Aerials are back in competition this coming weekend in Fargo.
