GYMNASTICS: Aerials compete at state meet

Bemidji Aerials Xcel and Optional gymnastics teams competed at their state meets over the past couple weekends.Leading the Bronze team was Kasey Stenseth, finishing with a 35.575 all-around score and earning her a spot at the regional meet in April.

Leading the Bronze team was Kasey Stenseth, finishing with a 35.575 all-around score and earning her a spot at the regional meet in April.
Tatiana Wright, Kennedy Olson, Hayden Pirkl and Kaitlyn Workman also earned spots at the regional meet with Wright finishing with a 34.8, Pirkl with a 34.35, Olson with a 34.125 and Workman with a 34.0.
Competing for the Silver division were Adair Wizner, leading her team with a 35.6, and stealing a spot at regionals. Ridley Karger finished with a 33.7, and Emily Skime with a 32.0.
Gold competitors included Madysen Schmidt, Kayla DeWitt, and Sophie Perreault. Both Schmidt (35.4) and DeWitt (35.1) earned spots at the regional meet, and Perreault finished with a 32.875.
Optional gymnasts who competed at state were Lauren Lundquist, leading with a 33.5, Josie Beltz with a 32.525, and Lauren Berg (who competed 3 out of the 4 events) with a 23.75.
Xcel gymnasts who qualified for regionals will be heading to St. Paul the middle of April.
