GIRLS GOLF: Bemidji opens second in Moorhead
MOORHEAD -- The Bemidji High School girls golf team took to the links for the first time this season on Wednesday, finishing second at the three-team Moorhead Invitational at The Meadows golf course.
Senior Abbie Kelm carded an 81 to lead the Lumberjacks to a 369 team score, which beat out Moorhead’s 402 but fell shy of defending Class AA state champion Detroit Lakes’ 333.
Other BHS scores included Taylor Offerdahl (86), Damaris Berg (99), Nicki Son (102), Ellah Olson (103) and Eva Laturi (104).
North Dakota State commit Maddie Herzog of Detroit Lakes claimed medalist honors by shooting 73 on the day.
Bemidji will swing back into action at 9 a.m. Friday, April 27, for its home invitational at Bemidji Town and Country Club.
