BRAINERD -- The Bemidji High School girls golf team finished in fourth place out of 12 teams Monday at the Cardinal Legacy Invitational hosted by Staples-Motley at Cragun's Legacy Golf Course in Brainerd. The Lumberjacks carded a 374 team score, trailing Alexandria (354), Detroit Lakes (358) and Elk River (359) at the top of the leaderboard.

Nicki Son paced the Jacks by shooting 90, good for eighth individually. Taylor Offerdahl finished one shot behind Son in a tie for ninth with 91. Rounding out the lineup for Bemidji were Kylen Fenson in 13th with 96, Damaris Berg in a tie for 14th with 97, Tatum Offerdahl in 16th with 99, and Rylie Jones in a tie for 21st with 101.

Shelby Busker of Detroit Lakes won medalist honors by five strokes with her round of 76.

The Lumberjacks will return to action by hosting the Bemidji Invitational at Bemidji Town and Country Club on Friday, April 26. Golfers will tee off at 9:30 a.m.
