Sophomore forward Brianna Vig drove for a layup that brought Fosston back to within single digits at 20-11 with 7:30 remaining in the first half, but Red Lake shooters soon found their stride.

The McClain sisters registered seven consecutive points after the Vig basket to increase the lead to 27-11 for the Warriors. Kelanna McClain scored two buckets from inside the paint that sandwiched a 3-pointer that Angel McClain buried from the top of the key with about six minutes to go before the break.

Red Lake shooters continued to connect, just as the defense began to click and lock down on the Greyhounds. The McClains initiated a 29-11 run that ended the first half and brought the Warriors to a 49-22 advantage at the break.
