BEMIDJI -- Junior Bemidji State defensive back John Vogeler was named to the 2017 D2CCA Football All-Super Region Four First Team Defense.
Vogeler, a junior safety from Alexandria, tied for the BSU lead with five interceptions, including three returned for touchdowns. His three defensive touchdowns were half of BSU’s total for the season, which ranked third in the NCAA. Vogeler finished his junior campaign with 46 tackles, 28 solo and 18 assisted, to rank sixth on the Beavers. He also added two tackles for a loss and six pass breakups in 2017.
