FARGO, N.D. -- Another record has fallen for the Bemidji State women’s track and field team.
Senior Maryse Mbenoun broke BSU’s 500-meter dash record with a time of 1:17.83 at the NDSU Open, held in Fargo, N.D., on Friday and Saturday.
Overall, the Beavers placed third among 15 teams at the meet with 85 points, which also ranked second among six NSIC teams.
Amanda Hernesman also recorded an event win for Bemidji State, clocking a 3:26.40 finish in the 1000-meter run.
As a whole, BSU finished with 11 top-five finishes. Carol Miller was second in the 1000m run with a 3:27.44 time, while Lily Johnson (1:29.52 in the 500m) and Mary Goodwin (11:03.46 in the 3000m run) both placed third.

The Beavers are back in action on Feb. 12 for the NSIC Challenge, hosted by Minnesota State in Mankato.
