BEMIDJI -- The Bemidji State women’s basketball team has plucked a player out of the transfer portal, announcing Wednesday the addition of Sydney White to the 2022-23 roster.
White, a 5-foot-8 guard out of Andover, spent the past two seasons at Sioux Falls. She averaged 5.9 points over 9.5 minutes per game in 2021-22 while shooting 45.3% from the floor and 33.3% from 3-point range. White made 26 appearances -- which, ironically, didn’t include a Jan. 21 game against BSU -- and started in the Cougars’ last two games of the year.
White transfers to Bemidji State with three years of eligibility remaining.
Joining White as newcomers on the 2022-23 roster include three freshmen forwards: Alyssa Hill (Negaunee, Mich.), Rachel Koenig (Nodine) and Brooke Theis (Shawano, Wis.).
