The Bemidji State softball team finished its 2022 season on Sunday and Monday, losing all four games in doubleheaders at Sioux Falls and Southwest Minnesota State.
The Beavers end the season with an 11-39 record. Their 8-22 mark in NSIC play puts them 12th in the league, missing the conference tournament by two spots.
On Sunday, BSU lost both legs of a twinbill in Sioux Falls, S.D. Despite a three-run rally in the seventh -- featuring Emmarie Yeager’s game-tying, two-run home run, USF came back with a walk-off sacrifice fly in the bottom of the seventh for a 6-5 win.
In game two against the Cougars (21-23, 9-14 NSIC), Bemidji State mustered just four hits in an 8-0 loss.
Facing SMSU in Marshall on Monday, the Beavers dropped 4-1 and 1-0 decisions.

In game one, BSU got on the board in the first inning when Yeager singled in Elaina Christenson for the day’s opening run. But the Mustangs (X) scored twice in the bottom half of the frame and protected their lead throughout the final six innings.
In game two, Southwest Minnesota State broke a scoreless tie in the sixth inning with an RBI groundout. That proved to be enough, as Bemidji State got blanked and cracked just two base hits on the day.
The Beavers graduate three seniors from the program in Kora Martin, Kaidron McClafferty and Christiansen.
