BEMIDJI -- A season after the program’s deepest run ever, the Bemidji State women’s soccer team will be back on the pitch in the fall starting on Aug. 28.

The Beavers unveiled their 2022 schedule on Tuesday, and the new season features a 15-game NSIC slate as BSU pursues back-to-back regular season conference titles and another run to the Sweet 16 — or beyond — in the NCAA Tournament.

Bemidji State will first play three nonconference games. The Beavers open the 2022 campaign on Aug. 28 at South Dakota State, and then BSU makes a trip to Michigan to face Northern Michigan (Sept. 2) and Michigan Tech (Sept. 4).

The conference slate kicks off with a four-game homestand, beginning Sept. 9 against Northern State and Sept. 11 against Minnesota State Moorhead. The following weekend, Bemidji State hosts Minnesota State on Sept. 16 and Concordia-St. Paul on Sept. 18.

The Beavers hit the road for weekends against Augustana and Wayne State (Sept. 23-25) and then against Minnesota Duluth and St. Cloud State (Sept. 30-Oct. 2).

The home stretch begins Oct. 14-16 at Southwest Minnesota State and at Sioux Falls, followed by a weekend at U-Mary (Oct. 21) and home against Minot State (Oct. 23).

The regular season concludes at Minnesota Crookston on Oct. 27, with the NSIC Tournament to follow Nov. 2-6.

All start times are still to be announced.

BSU also has a number of spring friendlies on the docket.

Bemidji State will play Minnesota State and Wayne State in a pair of exhibitions on March 19 in Mankato. The Beavers then host North Dakota at home on March 26 and Minot State on April 16.

BSU finished the 2021 season 19-2-3 overall and won two games in the NCAA Tournament for the first time ever. Bemidji State also reached the NSIC Tournament championship game for the first time in program history.
