BEMIDJI – Bemidji State men’s hockey senior captain Owen Sillinger has been nominated for this year’s Hobey Baker Memorial Award.
The prestigious award annually honors the top player in college hockey. BSU fans can vote for Sillinger until midnight on Sunday, March 6, at hobeybaker.com/awards/vote-for-hobey .
Sillinger joins 77 players from 42 NCAA Division I schools as nominees for the award.
Phase two of fan balloting will come from the list of top 10 Hobey Baker finalists. It begins on March 17 and closes on March 27. The fan vote accounts for one percent of the total ballot in each phase of selecting this year’s award recipient.
Sillinger leads the Beavers in scoring with 29 points, including 11 goals and 18 assists. He ranks third in Division I in points, and his point per game average of 1.32 is 12th in the nation.
