SIOUX FALLS, S.D. -- Augustana finished off its sweep of the Bemidji State baseball team on Sunday, beating the Beavers 13-2 in Sioux Falls, S.D.
The Vikings (17-4-1, 7-1 NSIC), who are receiving votes in the national poll, outscored the Beavers (3-19, 0-8 NSIC) by a 45-2 margin in the three-game series.
On Sunday, Augie raced out to a 10-0 advantage through six innings. BSU finally got on the board in the seventh when Parker Borg scored on a fielder’s choice, and Carter Simon later scored when he swiped home on a double steal.
Isaiah Biehn was issued the loss from the mound, as the starter went four innings and allowed six runs off eight hits while striking out two. In total, the Vikings belted five home runs off Bemidji State’s pitching staff.
The Beavers are scheduled to make their home debut at 1:30 p.m. on Saturday, April 2, with a doubleheader against Wayne State from the BSU baseball field.
