Tom Keohen did everything in his power to ensure that his final game at the BSU baseball field was a win. The Bemidji State senior infielder slugged two home runs over the left-field fence on Saturday, taking full advantage of favorable northward wind gusts and driving in three runs.
Like he has been most all season, Isaiah Biehn was also central to Friday’s action. He finished with a pair of hits at the plate and scored the winning run.
The 6-foot infielder from Upsala was named the All-Prairie Conference Most Outstanding Hitter, a two-time Gold Glove winner and a two-time team MVP for the Cardinals.
BSU lost 4-2 and 5-3 decisions to Minot State in Minot, N.D., slipping into an early deficit in both games of a doubleheader and struggling to find a way out of it.

The Bemidji State baseball team struggled to match the scoring output of St. Cloud State on Sunday in St. Cloud. The Huskies jumped out to early leads in both games of the two teams’ doubleheader and kept adding on, ultimately winning by scores of 11-4 and 14-7.
The Bemidji State baseball team built some early momentum in its matchup with St. Cloud State on Saturday in St. Cloud, holding a 2-1 lead after two innings. But the Huskies took over down the stretch, going on a 9-0 scoring run to seal a 10-2 win.
Despite holding leads in both games, the Bemidji State baseball team dropped both ends of a doubleheader with U-Mary in Cold Spring on Thursday.

The Bemidji State baseball team announced on Monday one more addition to the 2023 roster.
Bemidji State is next scheduled to face Minnesota Crookston in a three-game road series, beginning with a doubleheader on Friday, April 15. First pitch is scheduled for 1:30 p.m. in Crookston.
For the first time in seven years, the Bemidji State baseball team has earned a weekly award from the NSIC.
