BEMIDJI -- The Bemidji State baseball and softball teams are moving up this weekend’s games to avoid forecasted rain on Sunday.

The baseball team will now face Minnesota Crookston in a doubleheader starting at 1:30 p.m. Friday, April 26, followed by a doubleheader at 12 p.m. Saturday, April 27, at the BSU baseball field.

The Beavers will play a seven-inning game and then a nine-inning game Friday, both of which count in the conference standings. On Saturday, they’ll start with a nine-inning game and finish with a seven-inning game, the latter penciled in as a nonconference matchup.

The softball team moved up its final weekend series against Wayne State and No. 14 Augustana at the BSU softball field, as well.

Bemidji State will now host the Wildcats for a doubleheader starting at 11 a.m. Friday. The Beavers’ season will wrap up a day later with a Saturday doubleheader against the Vikings, which starts at noon.
