BOYS GOLF: Bemidji takes 9th at Detroit Lakes

DETROIT LAKES -- The Bemidji High School boys golf team finished in ninth place out of 14 teams at the Detroit Lakes Invitational hosted by Detroit Country Club on Tuesday.

DETROIT LAKES -- The Bemidji High School boys golf team finished in ninth place out of 14 teams at the Detroit Lakes Invitational hosted by Detroit Country Club on Tuesday.

The Lumberjacks posted a team score of 330 to make the top 10. Grand Forks Central recorded a 287 to claim first place.

Croix Golden led the Lumberjacks individually by carding a 78. He was followed by Bjorn Jorgenson (79), Dylan Hinners (80) and Jackson Sturk (93) to round out the team’s scorers. David Forte (94) and Noah Burgess (95) also competed for BHS.

The Lumberjacks are next set to host their home tournament, the Bemidji Invitational, on Monday, May 6. Golfers are scheduled to tee off at 9 a.m. at the Bemidji Town and Country Club.
