BEMIDJI - Bemidji High School athletics will start holding its annual fall sports meeting today, but not before raising money for one of its own.
The BHS Football Boosters will be serving burgers and chips outside of the high school for $5 from 4:30-6 p.m. to raise money for the family of Isaac Londo. Anyone is welcome to eat at the benefit dinner.
Londo is a part of the Lumberjacks’ football team and was diagnosed with testicular cancer last winter. The money raised will help the family pay for the medical bills.
Holding their meetings on Wednesday following the benefit will be the football team, both the boys and girls soccer teams and the volleyball team.
Football will be in the auditorium, soccer in the commons and volleyball in the Lumberjack Room.
Girls tennis and swimming and diving will hold their meetings at 5:30 p.m. Wednesday, Aug. 12 with tennis meeting in the commons and swimming meeting in the physical education classroom.
The cross-country teams will hold their meetings at 6 p.m. Thursday, Aug. 13 in the physical education classroom.
