Bemidji Wrestling Club brought two teams who had won Region 5 titles to Rochester, April 4-7, to compete at the Northland Youth Wrestling Association State Team Tournament. It was the first time a school had both K-6 and 7-8 grade region champions. It was also the fifth straight team championship for the K-6 team. The K-6 team finished third in its pool the first day and fourth in its bracket the second day to place 12th overall out of 32 teams. The 7-8 grade team won its pool the first day and finished fourth in bracket the second day to finish 4th overall out of 32 teams. This was the first time Bemidji, and Region 5, had a team in the top bracket the second day.
