Bemidji State senior James Ellisor has been named Northern Sun Intercollegiate Conference men's basketball player of the week after eclipsing the 1,000-point mark in career scoring and leading the Beavers to a weekend road sweep.
Ellisor, a forward from Glendale, Ariz., became the 15th player in BSU history to reach 1,000 career points.
He scored 47 points over the weekend as the Beavers knocked off Southwest Minnesota State and Minnesota State Mankato to move to 19-7 overall and 14-6 in the NSIC.
Ellisor's 30-point performance at Mankato was his third of the season. He now has 564 points this season to rank sixth on the BSU single-season points chart.
The regular comes to an end this weekend at the BSU Gymnasium, with games at 8 p.m. Friday against Upper Iowa and at 6 p.m. Saturday against Winona State.
