Bemidji State softball team visits Augustana, Wayne

BEMIDJI - The Bemidji State University softball team will hit the road for NSIC doubleheaders against No. 23 Augustana today and Wayne State Saturday. The Beavers enter the weekend with 7-16 ad 0-6 against NSIC opponents.

BEMIDJI - The Bemidji State University softball team will hit the road for NSIC doubleheaders against No. 23 Augustana today and Wayne State Saturday. The Beavers enter the weekend with 7-16 ad 0-6 against NSIC opponents.

Bemidji State's bats are led by Crystal Bowen who is hitting .500 (9-of-18) over the last four series and has boosted her overall average to .321.

Summer Monsrud is hitting .358 and leads the team with 12 runs scored.

The Beaver pitching staff is led by Courtney Anderson who boasts a 2.31 earned run average and 76 strikeouts in 72.2 innings. Kelsey Saralampi has and 1-4 record and a 5.41 ERA.

Augustana enters the weekend ranked No. 23 in the nation and owns a 27-4 overall and a 5-1 NSIC record.

Wayne State is 15-13 (1-5 NSIC).
